Tip of the Month:
Do an oven  self-clean at least a couple of weeks in advance of holidays. Extreme temperatures in the self-cleaning process may cause components to fail with little time for repair.

Thanksgiving Day: a day when you’re counting on your range to perform like no other! Not only are you expecting it to be in perfect working order (maybe a little paranoid, but who can blame you), you also want it to have that “brand-new-sparkle”! Here’s some expert advice from the RepairGuru to help you get there:

  • Remove and clean range knobs with a non-abrasive cleaner. This will help to preserve the stenciling on the knob. Replace any broken or illegible knobs to make your range look new again by using our PartDetective.
  • If your oven broiler pan is missing, or it has become so soiled that you need to replace it, try this high-quality, low-priced unit.
  • You can clean any porcelain stovetop or glass range/oven control panel with a non-abrasive cleanser or glass cleaner. Be aware that some "cream-type" cleansers have tiny abrasive particles in them, which can damage your stovetop or control panel. We recommend Ceramic Cooktop Cleaning Kit for safe cleaning.
  • Clean or replace drip pans and bowls. If the drip pans cannot be cleaned with a non-abrasive household cleanser, replace them with our universal pans and bowls, or use our PartDetective to order the original units for your specific model, using your model number.
