Appliance repair do-it-yourselfers can now save time and money with the use of short and simple, step-by-step part-replacement videos available on RepairClinic.com®. In addition to the repair help content we provide, the videos add a visual element which helps to support our goal of “we make fixing things easy®”.
When Chris Hall, president of RepairClinic, and the management team decided to make appliance repair videos available to their customers, they wanted to do it right. “Producing professional repair help videos was the next logical step in customer service,” said Hall. “Visual clarity with step-by-step accurate instructions was vital if this idea was going to work. We wanted the videos to be the next best thing to having a technician right in your home showing you how to do the repair.”
For each repair video, the video production team works directly with our RepairGuru® experts in a new dedicated production studio to transform a detailed script into the final product that customers view on RepairClinic.com. Each video showcases one replacement part, demonstrating complete disassembly of the appliance, part replacement, and reassembly of the appliance.
Already, the videos are viewed nearly 3,000 times a day. One person responded: “Well, a small miracle happened today! I actually replaced the lid switch on my washer, thanks to this video. Wow... If a 62-year-old grandmother can do this, ANYONE can! Thank you so much for the help.” (nbriley commented on our YouTube channel)
Currently we offer more than 100 part-replacement videos on washing machines and dryers. We will be producing our next series of more than 40 new videos on replacing gas and electric stove parts. And coming in the New Year: troubleshooting and maintenance videos!
With customer service as our cornerstone, We have made many advancements in the past month by launching our new state-of-the-art website. Some of the new features include an enhanced “Shop for Parts” search engine, “Model Number Identification” videos, larger part images, a new more efficient checkout process, and online order tracking. |
