Blower Wheel

If the furnace is loud the blower wheel on the fan motor that blows air through the house might be bad. The blower wheel is attached to the blower motor shaft with a set screw. Make sure the set screw had not come loose causing the blower wheel to slip on the motor shaft. Check the wheel itself for damage like a separated center hub or broken fins. If damaged replace.
