Dryer thermal fuse located on the blower housing. If the dryer overheats, the thermal fuse blows cutting off power to the motor or the heating system. When the fuse is bad the dryer won't start or will run but not heat. The thermal fuse cannot be reset. Fuses often blow due to a clogged dryer vent.
Dryer drum support roller. If the dryer is making a rumbling or knocking noise the rollers may be worn out causing the drum not to turn smoothly.
Dryer drum drive belt, 93 1/2 inches long, 4 ribs 3 grooves. The drive belt is a very long, slender belt that wraps all the way around the dryer drum, around a tension pulley, and then around the drive motor pulley. If the drum will not turn when the dryer is turned on the belt is likely broken.
Dryer door catch kit. This kit includes three different door catches; you will need to select the door catch that fits your model.
Dryer lint filter. Air flow is vital to proper dryer operation. The lint filter should be cleaned before every load and replaced if damaged.
Dryer heating element. If the dryer no longer heats then the heating element may have failed, but it is not the most common cause. The most common cause for a dryer to stop heating is a blown thermal fuse.
Dryer thermistor. This thermistor should read approximately 11.9K Ohms of resistance at 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21’ Celsius). If the thermistor is defective, it may prolong or shorten the drying time or cause a fault code. A defective thermistor is not responsible for a dryer not heating.
Dryer high limit thermostat and thermal fuse kit. If the dryer does not heat the most common cause is a blown thermal fuse. Both the thermostat and fuse can be tested to determine if either is defective.352 F fuse. L146.1-44.4c thermostat.
Dryer moisture sensor bar. This moisture sensor monitors the clothing’s moisture level and sends a signal to the control board when the clothes are dry. If your moisture sensor is defective, the dryer may shut off too early or continue running for a while after the clothes are dry. Two required.
Dryer idler pulley. The idler pulley puts tension on the drive belt. If the idler pulley fails to put the proper amount of tension on the belt, the dryer will not spin.
