As with any repair, you should unplug the power cord before beginning.

To replace the evaporator fan motor in your freezer, first remove the lower basket.

Now remove the bumpers on both the middle and lower racks and remove the two racks.

Next, remove the screws securing the evaporator cover.

Now release the evaporator fan motor wires from the retainers and disconnect the motor wire harness.

Remove the screws securing the motor mounting bracket to the rear panel and pull the assembly off.

Remove the screws securing the fan motor to the bracket.

Prepare the new evaporator fan motor for installation by transferring the fan blade from the old part to the new one.

Align the new motor on the bracket and secure it with the screws.

Align the bracket on the rear panel and replace the screws to secure.

Connect the wire harness and secure the wires in the retainers.

Replace the evaporator cover and secure it loosely with the screws.

Align the side gaskets and push them into place.

With the gaskets fully positioned, tighten the screws.

Replace the racks and snap on the bumpers.

Replace the lower basket and plug the power cord back in to confirm that the freezer is functioning properly.
