Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the throttle trigger on your chainsaw first make sure the chainsaw’s engine has cooled.

Use a flathead screwdriver to depress the handle cap retaining tab and pull the handle cap off.

Now use a punch and hammer to drive the trigger pin out of the handle housing.

This may require some effort.

You can now lift out the trigger and spring.

Prepare the new throttle trigger for installation by first transferring the spring from the old trigger to the new one.

Insert the new trigger into the handle and use the punch and hammer to secure the trigger pin.

Hold the spring down as you reposition the handle cap and snap it into place.

Once installed, confirm that the new trigger works properly.
