Before you replace the muffler on your chainsaw first make sure the chainsaw’s engine has cooled.

Now use a socket to remove the nuts securing the muffler to the housing and slide the old muffler off of the mounting bolts.

Prepare the new muffler from installation by first transferring the spark arrestor shield and screen from the old muffler to the new one.

Now align the new muffler on the mounting bolts and slide it into place.

Secure it with the nuts.
