Step-By-Step Instructions1
Before you replace the oil tank on your pole pruner, first confirm that there is little or no oil left in the tank.

Next, loosen the locking nut then unscrew the knob securing the lower drive shaft.

Depress the alignment pin to fully release the lower drive shaft.

Now set the pruner head on a sturdy surface and remove the mounting screws securing the oil tank.

Use a flathead screwdriver to help pry the old tank off of the oil tube.

Be prepared for some oil to spill.

Install the new oil tank by inserting the fitting into the oil tube.

Fully position the tank and replace the mounting screws to secure.

Insert the lower drive shaft into the upper drive shaft until the alignment pin snaps into place.

Tighten the knob first then tighten the locking nut.

Replace the oil in the tank and your pole pruner will be ready for use.
