Step By Step Instructions

As with any repair, you should unplug the power cord before beginning and turn off the water supply.

To replace the water inlet valve in your refrigerator first remove the screw to release the water line from the rear access panel.

Next, remove the screws securing the rear panel.

Pull the panel down and out.

Now remove the screws to release the water inlet valve mounting bracket and detach the water line from the retaining clip.

Disconnect the wires from the valve solenoids.

Note the orientation of the water lines then use pliers to help release them from the old valve.

Install the new water inlet valve by first inserting the water lines into the appropriate ports.

Connect the wires to the solenoids.

Position the mounting bracket on the cabinet frame and replace the screws to secure.

Secure the water line under the retaining clip.

Slide the rear access panel into the track and reinstall the screws to secure.
13
Reposition the water line and secure it with the screw.

Turn the water supply back on plug the power cord back in and confirm that the refrigerator is functioning properly.
