Step By Step Instructions

As with any repair, you should unplug the power cord before beginning

Turn off the water supply.

To replace the water reservoir coil in your refrigerator first remove the drawers and the lower drawer frames from the refrigerator compartment.

Next, pull the lower access panel off.

Push the coil through the bushing then pull the dispenser water line forward and disconnect it from the coupler.

Be prepared for some water to spill.

Now remove the screw to release the water line from the rear access panel.

Remove the screws securing the rear panel and pull the panel down and out.

Detach the inlet line from the retaining clip.

Disconnect the line from the water inlet valve and pull the water lines free.

Uninstall the screw securing the old water reservoir coil.

Note the orientation of the colors on the water lines and pull the lines out of the refrigerator compartment.

You’re now ready to install the new water reservoir coil.

Feed the appropriate water lines through the bushing in the refrigerator compartment.

Position the reservoir coil on the rear panel and secure it with the screw.

Now attach the inlet line to the water inlet valve and secure it under the retaining clip.

Feed the dispenser line to the front of the appliance and connect it to the coupler.

Now pull out the water lines until the markings are aligned with the top of the bushing.

Replace the lower drawer frames and drawers.

Turn the water supply back on plug the power cord back in then run water through the dispenser and check to see if there are any leaks in the coupler or water inlet valve.

Slide the rear access panel into the track and reinstall the screws to secure.

Reposition the water line and secure it with the screw.

Complete the procedure by aligning the lower access panel and snapping it into place.
