As with any repair, you should unplug the power cord before beginning.

To replace the freezer door hinge cam first remove the lower access panel.

Next, pull out the dispenser water line and disconnect it from the coupler.

Now remove the screw securing the upper hinge cover and pull the cover off.

Disconnect the door wire harness and the grounding wires.

Use a 5/16th inch socket of nut driver to remove the mounting screws securing the upper hinge.

Carefully lift the freezer door off of the lower hinge and set it aside.

Now remove the screw securing the cam to the hinge and lift off the old cam.

Install the new lower cam by sliding it onto the hinge.

Replace the screw to secure.

Apply some silicone-based grease to the cam then reinstall the freezer door by first inserting the water line through the hole in the hinge pin.

Position the door on the hinge and align the upper hinge.

Replace the mounting screws to secure.

Reconnect the door wire harness and the grounding wires.

Reposition the hinge cover and secure it with the screw.

Reconnect the dispenser water line to the coupler.

Realign the lower access panel and snap it into place.

Plug the power cord back in and confirm that the freezer door opens and closes properly.
