Before you replace the thermal release valve on your pressure washer first make sure the engine and pump have cooled.

Next, you should remove the wire and boot from the spark plug.

Carefully tip the pressure washer back – be prepared for some fuel or engine oil to spill out.

Use a 5/8th inch wrench to help loosen and unthread the old thermal release valve.

Install the new thermal release valve by threading it into place on the pump then tighten.

Return the pressure washer to its upright position.

You can now reattach the wire and boot to the spark plug and confirm that the pressure washer is working properly.
