Before you replace the inlet port filter screen on your pressure washer first make sure the engine and pump have cooled.

If applicable, disconnect the hose from the pump inlet.

Use a small flathead screwdriver to help pry out the old filter screen.

Install the new filter screen by pushing it into place on the inlet port – you can use the screwdriver to help position the screen.

Once in place, reconnect the hose to the pump inlet and confirm that the pressure washer is working properly.
