As with any repair, be sure to turn off the power to your dishwasher before beginning.

To replace or install a top mounting bracket on your dishwasher, you will need to pull the appliance a few inches away from the cabinet.

Rotate the lower access panel fasteners counter-clockwise to remove.

Pull out the access panel and sound dampening pad and determine if the power line and water supply line have enough slack to move the dishwasher.

If not you will need to shut off the water supply valve then disconnect the water supply line from the inlet valve and release the power line from the junction box.

Now open the dishwasher door and remove the mounting bracket screws.

To move the dishwasher, you may need to adjust the legs to lower the appliance.

Now carefully pull the dishwasher a few inches away from the cabinet.

Use pliers to straighten the tab and pull the old mounting bracket out of the frame.

Install the new top mounting bracket by inserting it into the slot in the frame.

Use the pliers to bend the tab to secure the bracket in the frame.

Slide the dishwasher back into the cabinet.

Adjust the leveling legs if necessary.

Replace the screws to secure the mounting brackets to the countertop.

If necessary, reconnect both the water supply line and the power line.

Reposition the lower access panel and sound dampening pad then secure the panel with the fasteners.

Turn the water supply back on and restore power to the dishwasher.
