To replace the drive motor on your humidifier first turn off the power to the furnace.

Push the humidifier cover down to release the tabs then pull the cover off.

Next, pull the duct side of the drum shaft out of the bushing to remove the filter assembly.

Now disconnect the motor wires by removing the wire nuts.

Remove the nuts and bolts securing the motor to the humidifier housing and pull the old motor out.

Install the new drive motor by aligning it on the housing then secure it with the nuts and bolts.

Connect the new motor wires using the wire nuts.

You should consider using a zip tie to secure the wires.

Reinstall the filter assembly by inserting the drive side of the shaft into the new motor bushing then snap the opposite end of the shaft into the duct bushing.

Replace the cover by inserting the tabs into the slots in the housing then lower the cover and pull it into position.

You’re now ready to restore power to the furnace and confirm that the humidifier is working properly.
