Step By Step Instructions

As with any repair, you should unplug the power cord before beginning. and shut off the water supply.

To replace the condenser fan motor on your refrigerator, first remove the water supply line from the inlet valve.

Be prepared for some water to spill out.

Next, remove the screws securing the lower rear access panel.

Pull the panel off.

Use pliers and a flathead screwdriver to pry the fan blades off of the motor shaft.

Use a short phillips head screwdriver to remove the motor mounting bracket screws.

Disconnect the condenser fan motor wire harness.

Pull the bracket open and lift out the old motor.

Prepare the new condenser fan motor for installation by transferring the rubber mounts from the old motor to the new one.

Feed the wire harness through the hole in the bottom of the mounting bracket.

Now hold the bracket open as you position the new motor.

Connect the wire harness.

Reinstall the bracket screws to secure the motor.

Slide the fan blades onto the motor shaft.

Realign the lower rear access panel and replace the screws to secure.

Reconnect the water supply line to the inlet valve.
