Step By Step Instructions

As with any repair, be sure you unplug the appliance before beginning.

To replace the drive pulley in your washer, first pull the hoses free of the retainers on the rear panel, if applicable.

Now use a t-20 torx bit to remove the screws securing the panel.

Pull the panel off.

Rotate the drive pulley as you pull off the belt.

Using a 16 mm socket, apply a sharp blow to the ratchet to loosen the bolt securing the drive pulley

Unthread the bolt and remove the washer then pull the old pulley off of the spline.

Install the new drive pulley by first making sure the wave washer is still in place.

Now position the pulley on the spline then replace the washer and bolt.

Tighten the bolt by applying a sharp blow to the ratchet

Replace the drive belt by looping it onto the motor shaft with the grooves facing inward.

Now loop the belt onto the pulley while rotating the pulley to fully align the belt.

Replace the rear panel by inserting the tabs into the slots in the cabinet frame.

Secure the panel with the screws.

Secure the hoses in the rear panel retainers.

You’re now ready to plug the power cord back in and confirm that the washer works properly.
