Step By Step Instructions

As with any repair, be sure you unplug the appliance before beginning.

To replace the shock absorbers on your washer, first pull the hoses free of the retainers on the rear panel.

Now use a t-20 torx bit to remove the screws securing the panel.

Pull the panel off.

Next, remove the screws securing the back of the top panel.

Now pull the panel back and lift it up to remove.

Depress the tab on the bottom to release the pressure switch from the support bracket.

Now remove the screw in the back to release the bracket from the cabinet frame.

Note the location of the tub springs and detach them from the tub.

Next, carefully tip the washer and set it on its side.

Now hold the upper shock absorbers and remove the nuts using a 13mm socket to release the outer shock mounts and washers.

With the mounts and washers removed, pull the old shock absorber assemblies out of the tub base.

You’re now ready to begin installing the new shock absorbers.

Slide the inner mounts onto the bottom of each shock absorber.

Slide a washer onto each rod and push an anchor mount onto the end.

Insert the anchor mounts into the tub base.

Slide the shock absorbers onto the rods.

Make sure the inner mounts are inserted into the holes in the washer base.

Position the outer mounts and slide on the washers.

Rethread the nuts and tighten to secure.

Lift up the washer and set it on its opposite side.

Then replace the remaining two shock absorbers in the same manner.

When the procedure is complete, return the washer to its upright position.

Reattach the springs to the tub.

Realign the support bracket and replace the screw to secure.

Reattach the pressure switch to the bracket.

Make sure the support rail is properly positioned.

Now slide the front edge of the top panel under the control panel.

Align the panel with the support rail and the pins on the frame then push down.

Replace the screws in the back.

Replace the rear panel by inserting the tabs into the slots in the cabinet frame.

Secure the panel with the screws.

Secure the hoses in the rear panel retainers.
