Step By Step Instructions

As with any repair, be sure you unplug the appliance before beginning.

To replace the control board in your washer, first use a t-20 torx bit to remove the screws at the back securing the top panel.

Now pull the panel back and lift it up to remove.

Use a small flathead screwdriver to depress the retaining tabs securing the control panel and pull the panel off.

Note the orientation of the control board wires and disconnect them from the board.

Next, remove the gasket from the control panel.

Now use the flathead screwdriver to help pry the tabs back to release the old board.

Prepare the new control board for installation by transferring the buttons and control knob from the old board to the new one.

You’ll need to peel off the protective plastic from the display assembly on the new board before installing the start/stop button and cover.

To transfer the control knob, first depress the bezel tabs to release then use two flathead screwdrivers to pry the knob and bezel off of the old board.

Now position the bezel on the new board first then snap on the knob.

Once the buttons and knob are in place align the new board with the control panel and snap it into position.

Replace the gasket in the control panel.

Connect the wire connecters to the appropriate terminals on the new board.

Reinstall the control panel by aligning the tabs with the slots in the frame and snap the panel into place.

Make sure the support rail is properly positioned.

Now slide the front edge of the top panel under the control panel.

Align the panel with the support rail and the pins on the frame then push down.

Replace the screws in the back.

You’re now ready to plug the power cord back in and confirm that the washer works properly.
