Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the recoil starter on your leaf blower first make sure the engine has cooled.

Next, remove the wire and boot from the spark plug to prevent the engine from accidentally starting.

Use a t-25 torx bit screwdriver to unthread the mounting screws securing the recoil starter.

Pull the old starter free.

Install the new recoil starter by aligning it on the starter housing.

Then rethread the mounting screws to secure.

Make sure the grounding tab is secured under the lower right mounting screw if applicable.

Reattach the wire and boot to the spark plug and your leaf blower should be ready for use.
