Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the cruise control lever on your leaf blower first make sure the engine has cooled.

Next, remove the wire and boot from the spark plug to prevent the engine from accidentally starting.

Now rotate the air filter cover mounting screw counter-clockwise to release the cover.

Pull off the air filter.

Next, use a t-25 torx bit screwdriver to remove the screws securing the engine shroud.

With the screws removed, pry off the shroud – this may require some effort.

Now use a t-20 torx bit screwdriver to remove the mounting screw securing the cruise control lever.

Pull the old lever off and remove the internal linkage.

Install the new cruise control lever by first replacing the internal linkage.

Then align the lever on the handle and rethread the mounting screw to secure – be careful not to over tighten.

Realign the shroud and replace all of the screws.

Replace the air filter by positioning it around the tabs on the filter housing.

Realign the cover and rotate the mounting screw clockwise to secure.

Reattach the wire and boot to the spark plug and your leaf blower should be ready for use.
