Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the muffler on your leaf blower first make sure the engine has cooled.

Next, remove the wire and boot from the spark plug to prevent the engine from accidentally starting.

Now rotate the air filter cover mounting screw counter-clockwise to release the cover.

Pull off the air filter.

Next, use a t-25 torx bit screwdriver to remove the screws securing the engine shroud.

With the screws removed, pry off the shroud – this may require some effort.

Now unthread the mounting bolts securing the muffler assembly.

Pull the assembly off of the engine.

Prepare the new muffler for installation by transferring the cover from the old muffler to the new one.

Now align the existing heat deflector on the mounting bolts.

Position the assembly on the engine and tighten the bolts to secure.

Realign the shroud and replace all of the screws.

Replace the air filter by positioning it around the tabs on the filter housing.

Realign the cover and rotate the mounting screw clockwise to secure.

Reattach the wire and boot to the spark plug and your leaf blower should be ready for use.
