Step By Step Instructions

As with any repair, be sure to unplug the appliance before beginning and turn off the cold water supply.

To replace the cold water inlet valve in your washer, first detach the cold water supply line from the valve – be prepared for some water to spill out.

Now remove the screws at the back securing the top panel

Slide the panel back and lift it off.

Note the orientation of the water inlet valve wire harnesses and disconnect them from the valve.

Remove the screws securing the valve.

Pull the valve out of the rear wall of the cabinet.

Note the orientation of the hoses attached to the valve, then use pliers to release the retaining clamps securing the hoses.

Pull the hoses off of the old valve.

Install the new cold water inlet valve by attaching the hoses to the appropriate ports.

Position the retaining clamps to secure.

Now insert the valve through the hole in the rear wall of the cabinet and replace the mounting screws to secure.

Connect the wire harnesses to the appropriate terminals.

Make sure the hoses are secured in the twist retainers where applicable.

Reposition the top panel by aligning the edge of the panel with the tabs on the support bracket then push forward.

Replace the screws in the back.

Attach the cold water supply line to the new valve.

With the repair completed, turn the water supply back on plug the power cord back in and your washer should be ready for use.
