Step-By-Step Instructions1
As with most repairs, you should shut off the power to the appliance before you begin.

To replace the fan motor in your range vent hood first remove the filter screen.

Remove the retaining clip and pull the fan blade off.

Now cut the zip tie securing the wires to the motor mounting bracket.

Next, disconnect the motor wire harness.

Use a 5/16th inch socket to remove the mounting nuts securing the motor.

Pull the old motor out of the bracket.

Install the new fan motor by positioning it on the mounting bracket.

Thread the mounting nuts on to secure.

Connect the new wire harness.

Use a zip tie to secure the wires to the mounting bracket.

Slide the fan blade onto the motor shaft and secure it with the retaining clip.

Replace the filter screen.

With the repair completed, restore power to the range vent hood and your appliance should be ready for use.
