To replace the high limit thermostat in your furnace first shut off the power to the furnace.

Next, rotate the knobs securing the combustion chamber panel and pull the panel off.

Now disconnect the wires from the old high limit thermostat.

Use a quarter-inch socket with an extension to unthread the mounting screws to release the old thermostat.

You’re now ready to install the new high limit thermostat.

Position the new thermostat and secure it with the mounting screws.

Connect the wires to the new thermostat.

Reposition the combustion chamber panel and rotate the knobs to secure.
