Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the circuit breaker in your generator first make sure the engine has cooled.

Next, you should remove the wire and boot from the spark plug to prevent the engine from accidentally starting.

Use a 3/8th inch socket with an extension to remove the nuts securing the outlet housing.

Pull the housing free of the bracket and disconnect the power harness.

Now use a phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws to release the outlet cover.

Note the orientation of the wires connected to the circuit breaker then disconnect them.

Use a small flathead screwdriver to depress the tabs to release the old breaker.

Prepare the new circuit breaker for installation by transferring the protective cover from the old component to the new one.

Now align the new breaker in the outlet housing and snap it into place.

Connect the wires to the appropriate terminals on the new breaker.

Reposition the outlet housing cover and replace the screws to secure.

Reconnect the power harness.

Reposition the outlet housing on the bracket and rethread the nuts to secure.

Reattach the wire and boot to the spark plug and your generator should be ready for use.
