Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the spark arrestor screen on your chainsaw first make sure the engine and muffler have cooled and that the on-off switch is in the “off” position.

Use a 3/8th inch socket to unthread the upper mounting nut securing the exhaust cover.

Remove the washer then pull the cover and gasket off.

Remove the old spark arrestor screen.

Install the new spark arrestor screen by positioning it on the muffler.

Replace the gasket and realign the exhaust cover.

Replace the washer then thread the upper mounting nut on and tighten.

With the repair completed turn the on-off switch to the “on” position and your chainsaw should be ready for use.
