Step-By-Step Instructions1
Before you replace the chain cover on your chainsaw first make sure the engine has cooled and that the on-off switch is in the “off” position.

Now push the bar tensioner knob in and rotate it counter-clockwise to remove the old chain cover.

Prepare the new chain cover for installation by positioning the chain tensioner pin approximately three-quarters of the way towards the chain adjustment dial.

Insert the pin into the chain bar, fully align the cover and secure it loosely by rotating the bar tensioner knob clockwise.

Now lift the bar and rotate the chain adjustment dial clockwise until there is no slack in the chain.

Once the chain is taut, tighten the tension on the bar.

With the repair completed turn the on-off switch to the “on” position and your chainsaw should be ready for use.
