Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the auger idler pulley on your snowblower first make sure the engine has cooled.

Next, remove the wire and boot from the spark plug to prevent the engine from accidentally starting.

Use a 3/8th inch socket to remove the mounting bolts securing the belt cover.

Pull the cover off.

Use a 9/16th inch socket and wrench to remove the idler pulley mounting nut.

Pull the old pulley free of the bolt.

Install the new auger idler pulley by sliding it onto the bolt with the hub facing the mounting bracket.

Thread and tighten the nut to secure.

Replace the belt cover.
10
Rethread the mounting bolts and tighten.

With the repair completed reattach the spark plug wire and boot and your snowblower should be ready for use.
