All of the information in this gasket replacement video is applicable to the following brands: Echo Tools used: T25 Torx bit screwdriver, flat-head screwdriver Step-By-Step Instructions 1 Before you replace the intake gasket in your leaf blower make sure the engine has cooled and the on-off switch is in the “off” position. 2 Now loosen the mounting screw to release the air filter cover and pull out the air filter. 3 Use a t-25 torx bit screwdriver to unthread the carburetor mounting bolts. 4 Separate the air filter housing and bolts from the carburetor. 5 Detach the throttle cable from the linkage and set the carburetor aside. 6 Now unthread the screws securing the carburetor spacer pull off the spacer then remove the old intake gasket if still intact. 7 Before you install the new intake gasket clean any residue from the spacer and the engine. 8 Now insert the mounting screws through the spacer and slide on the new gasket. 9 Reposition the spacer then thread and tighten the screws to secure. 10 Reinstall the carburetor by first attaching the cable to the throttle linkage. 11 Confirm that the cable is aligned with the groove in the cable guide. 12 With the filter housing aligned on the mounting bolts, slide the carburetor onto the bolts followed by the intake manifold gasket. 13 Now thread the bolts into the carburetor spacer and tighten to secure the assembly. 14 Realign the air filter on the filter housing. 15 Reposition the cover and tighten the screw to secure.
