Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the fuel tank on your leaf blower make sure the engine has cooled and the on-off switch is in the “off” position.

We recommend performing this procedure with no fuel in the tank.

Note the orientation of the fuel lines attached to the carburetor then detach them.

If necessary, pull the vent line free.

Use a t-25 torx bit screwdriver to unthread the screws securing the fuel tank support plate.

Pull the plate off and unthread the fuel tank mounting screws.

With the screws unthreaded, you can pull the old tank free.

Now use a large flat-head screwdriver to help pry the grommet out of the fuel tank and pull the fuel line assembly free.

Prepare the new fuel tank for installation by transferring the fuel tank cap and retainer from the old tank to the new one.

Now position the new tank on the lower engine housing.

Rethread and tighten the mounting screws to secure.

Realign the support plate and secure it with the screws.

Now insert the fuel filter and line into the new tank.

Note the orientation of the fuel lines then press the grommet into place.

Reattach the fuel lines to the appropriate ports on the carburetor.

Position the vent line in the blower housing.

With the repair complete turn the on-off switch to the “on” position fill the new tank with fuel and your leaf blower should be ready for use.
