Step By Step Instructions

As with any repair, be sure you unplug the appliance before beginning.

Your first step is to remove all the burner grates and caps.

Next, remove the mounting screws to detach all of the burner bases.

Now, insert a putty knife under the sides of the main top to release the spring clips.

Lift the main top up and support it with a sturdy object.

Disconnect the wires from the old door switch.

Now squeeze the tabs to release the old switch and pull it out of the frame.

This may require some effort.

Install the new door switch by snapping it into the frame.

Reconnect the wires.

Now, remove the support and lower the main top aligning it with the orifice holders.

Snap the top into place.

Reinstall the burner bases by lining up each electrode with the slot or hole in the base then secure with the screws.

Replace all the burner caps and grates.

You’re now ready to plug the appliance back in to make sure the door switch is functioning properly.
