Step By Step Instructions

To replace the fan limit switch in your furnace first turn off the power to the furnace.

To reach the switch, you will need to remove both access panels.

Slide the upper panel up to detach followed by the lower panel.

Use a flat-head screwdriver to unthread the fan limit switch mounting screws to release the switch. You’re now ready to install the new fan limit switch.

Transfer the wires from the old switch to the new one.

Position the new switch on the blower housing and rethread the screws to secure.
7
Reinstall the lower access panel first followed by the upper panel.

With the repair completed, turn the power back on and your furnace should be ready for use.
