Step By Step Instructions

To replace the transformer in your furnace first turn off the power to the furnace.

To reach the transformer, you will need to remove both access panels.

Slide the upper panel up to detach followed by the lower panel.

Note the orientation of the transformer wires connected to the control board then disconnect them.

Use a quarter-inch socket or nut driver to unthread the transformer mounting screws.

With the screws unthreaded, remove the old transformer.

Install the new transformer by positioning it on the mounting bracket.

Then thread the mounting screws to secure.

Connect the wires to the appropriate terminals on the control board.

Be sure to secure the wires in the retainers.

Reinstall the lower access panel first followed by the upper panel.

With the repair completed, turn the power back on and your furnace should be ready for use.
