Step-By-Step Instructions1
To replace the safety limit switch in your furnace first turn off the power to the furnace.

Slide the upper access panel up to detach.

Disconnect the wires from the old limit switch.

Use a flat-head screwdriver to unthread the mounting screws securing the switch.

Remove the old switch from the burner housing and note its orientation.

Install the new safety limit switch by inserting it into the burner housing.

Rethread the mounting screws to secure.

Connect the wires to the terminals on the new switch.

Replace the upper access panel.

With the repair completed, turn the power back on and your furnace should be ready for use.
