Step By Step Instructions

To replace the spark igniter in your furnace first turn off the power to the furnace.

To reach the igniter, you will need to remove both access panels.

Slide the upper panel up to detach followed by the lower panel.

Use a flat-head screwdriver to unthread the screw securing the spark igniter if still intact.

Detach the old igniter from the mounting bracket.

Disconnect the spark igniter wire from the control board. Feed it through the retainer and pull the wire free of the frame.

Install the new spark igniter by first feeding the wire through the hole in the frame.

Feed the wire through the retainer and connect the wire to the appropriate terminal on the control board.

Align the new igniter on the mounting bracket and replace the screw to secure.

Reinstall the lower access panel first followed by the upper panel.

With the repair completed, turn the power back on and your furnace should be ready for use.
