To replace the flame sensor in your furnace first turn off the power to the furnace.

Slide the upper access panel up to detach.

Use a long flat-head screwdriver to unthread the mounting screw securing the flame sensor.

Pull out the old sensor and disconnect the wire.

Install the new flame sensor by first connecting the wire.

Carefully position the new sensor on the burner bracket.

Rethread the mounting screw to secure.

Replace the upper access panel.

With the repair completed, turn the power back on and your furnace should be ready for use.
