Step By Step Instructions

Before you install a new chute deflector on your snow blower make sure the ignition key has been removed.

Use a half-inch socket to unthread the nut from the right-side carriage bolt securing the deflector.

Remove the bolt.

Next, unthread the wing nut and remove the left side bolt.

You can now pull off the old deflector.

Install the new chute deflector by aligning it on the chute.

Insert the left-side mounting bolt and thread the wing nut on to secure.

Now insert the carriage bolt and tighten the nut.

To allow the deflector to move freely, avoid over tightening the nut.

With the repair completed reinsert the ignition key and your snow blower should be ready for use.
