Step By Step Instructions

As with any appliance repair, you should unplug the power cord before beginning.

To replace the oven control panel on your range first use a phillips-head screwdriver to unthread the screws securing the upper rear access panel brackets.

Carefully remove the brackets.

Next, remove the screws securing the panel itself.

Lift the panel up and out to detach.

Now disconnect the ribbon connecter from the control board.

Next, remove the screws securing the control assembly.

Set the assembly aside.

Now remove the screw securing the wire retainer.

Unthread the two screws at the rear securing the oven control panel.

Next, use a short phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws in the front securing the deflector.

Set the deflector aside.

You can now lift the old control panel up from the bottom to remove.

Install the new oven control panel by aligning it on the frame making sure the lower mounting tabs are positioned underneath the frame.

Realign the deflector and thread the screws to secure.

Replace the screws at the rear.

Align the wire retainer and secure it with the screw.

Position the control assembly on the new control panel and replace the screws to secure.

Connect the ribbon connecter to the control board and secure the wires in the retainer.

Replace the upper access panel and secure it with the screws.

Now replace the brackets and rethread the screws to secure.

With the repair completed plug the power cord back in and your range should be ready for use.
