Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the oven igniter in your range first unplug the power cord.

Open the oven door and lift up both hinge stops.

Now fully remove the door.

Remove any shelving.

Use a phillips-head screwdriver to unthread the screws securing the oven’s bottom panel.

Lift out the bottom panel.

Next, remove the screws securing the burner shield.

Lift off the shield.

Use a 5/16th inch socket or nut driver to unthread the mounting screws securing the igniter.

Pull the wire connecter up through the hole in the base and secure it.

You can now disconnect the wire connecter to fully remove the old igniter.

If you have trouble accessing the connecter, you can remove the bottom drawer to reach it.

Install the new oven igniter by first connecting the wire connecter.

Position the igniter on the mounting bracket and replace the screws to secure.

Properly realign the burner shield and replace the screws.

Reposition the bottom panel and rethread the screws.

Replace the shelving.

Reinstall the oven door by reinserting the hinges into the slots in the frame.

Fully open the door and flip both hinge stops down.

With the repair completed. plug the power cord back in and your range should be ready for use.
