Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the oven light assembly in your range first unplug the power cord.

Open the oven door and unthread the lens from the old light assembly.

Remove the bulb.

Next, use a phillips-head screwdriver to unthread the screws securing the lower rear access panel.

With the screws unthreaded, lift the panel up to remove.

For better access to the light assembly, we recommend detaching the heat shield.

Now disconnect the wires from the light assembly.

You will need to release the locking tab to disconnect the grounding wire.

Next, use a small flat-head screwdriver to depress the retaining tabs to release the assembly base from the rear panel.

You’re now ready to install the new oven light assembly.

Align the assembly on the rear panel and snap it into place.

Connect the wires to the appropriate terminals on the new assembly.

Realign the heat shield and replace the screws to secure.

Align the power cord strain relief on the access panel and reposition the panel.

Replace the screws to secure.

Remember to secure the power cord retainer as well.

With the repair completed plug the power cord back in and your range should be ready for use.
