Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the control board in your furnace first turn off the power to the furnace.

Use a flat-head screwdriver to unthread the screws securing the lower access panel and remove the panel.

Note the orientation of the thermostat wires connected to the control board then loosen the screws to disconnect them.

Note the location of the remaining wires then disconnect them from the board.

Next, unthread the screw securing the board to the mounting plate.

Lift the old board straight up to remove.

Install the new control board by sliding it into place on the mounting plate.

Thread the screw to secure.

Connect the wires to the appropriate terminals on the new board.

Secure the thermostat wires as well.

Realign the lower access panel and rethread the screws.

With the repair completed, turn the power supply back on and your furnace should be ready for use.
