Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the igniter in your furnace first turn off the power to the furnace

Shut off the gas supply.

Use a flat-head screwdriver to unthread the screws securing the upper access panel and remove the panel.

Use a quarter-inch socket to unthread the mounting screw securing the old igniter.

Disconnect the wire connecter to fully remove.

Install the new igniter by first connecting the wire connecter.

Now carefully insert the igniter through the hole in the burner box then thread and tighten the mounting screw.

Realign the upper access panel and tighten the screws to secure.

With the repair completed, turn the gas supply back on as well as the power and your furnace should be ready for use.
