Step-By-Step Instructions1
Before you replace a flame rollout switch in your furnace first turn off the power to the furnace

Shut off the gas supply.

Use a flat-head screwdriver to unthread the screws securing the upper access panel and remove the panel.

Disconnect the wires from the rollout switch you’re replacing.

Now use a quarter-inch socket or wrench to unthread the mounting screws to release the old switch.

Install the new flame rollout switch by positioning it on the burner box and thread the mounting screws to secure.

Connect the wires to the terminals on the new switch.

Realign the upper access panel and tighten the screws to secure.

With the repair completed, turn the gas supply back on as well as the power and your furnace should be ready for use.
