Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the limit switch in your furnace first turn off the power to the furnace

Shut off the gas supply.

Use a flat-head screwdriver to unthread the screws securing the upper access panel and remove the panel.

Disconnect the wires from the limit switch.

Use a quarter-inch socket or nut driver to unthread the mounting screws to release the old switch.

Install the new limit switch by aligning it on the plenum chamber then thread the mounting screws to secure.

Connect the wires to the terminals on the new switch.

Realign the upper access panel and tighten the screws to secure.
9
With the repair completed, turn the gas supply back on as well as the power and your furnace should be ready for use.
