To do this, turn off the power to your dishwasher 2 Shut off the water supply valve. 3 Use a 5/8th inch wrench to unthread the water supply line fitting from the shut-off valve – be prepared for some water to spill. 4 Use a phillips-head screwdriver to unthread the screws to release the lower access panel. 5 Unthread the screws securing the inner access panel. 6 Lift up the panel to detach. 7 Remove the nut and bolt securing the grounding wire to fully remove the panel. 8 Next, unthread the screw securing the junction box cover. Then pull the cover off. 9 Note the location of the wires then untwist the wire nuts to disconnect the wires. 10 Unthread the wire strain relief nut and detach the strain relief from the junction box. 11 Next, disconnect the drain hose from the sink drain or garbage disposer and feed it through the cabinet. 12 Open the dishwasher door and remove the mounting bracket screws. 13 To move the dishwasher, you may need to adjust the front legs to lower the appliance. 14 Now, very carefully pull the dishwasher away from the cabinet. 15 Open the dishwasher door, slide out the upper rack and remove it. 16 Secure the appropriate rail and use a small flat-head screwdriver to depress the retaining tab to detach the rear rack stop. 18 Now hold the support of the upper roller assembly you’re replacing and use the phillips-head screwdriver to unthread the screws securing the old assembly. 19 Install the new upper rail support roller by realigning the support on the outside of the tub and the roller and bracket on the inside. 20 Thread the screws to secure. 21 Slide the support rail onto the rollers and snap the rear rack stop into place. 22 Reposition the upper rack on the rails and confirm that it moves freely. 23 Make sure the water supply line and drain hose are accessible through the cabinet wall then gently slide the dishwasher back into the cabinet. 24 Adjust the leveling legs if necessary. 25 Replace the screws to secure the mounting brackets to the cabinet or countertop. 26 Feed the drain hose through the cabinet and connect it to the sink drain or disposer. 27 Make sure the hose is elevated above the connection point. 28 Fully position the wire strain relief in the junction box and secure the strain relief nut. 29 Connect the wires using the wire nuts. 30 Align the cover and replace the screw to secure. 31 Secure the grounding wire to the inner access panel with the nut and bolt. 32 Set the panel in place and rethread the screws to secure. 33 Realign the outer access panel and secure it with the screws. 34 Feed the water supply line through the cabinet and reattach it to the shut-off valve. 35 With the repair completed turn the water supply back on as well as the power and your dishwasher should be ready for use.
