Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the front wheel adjuster arm on your lawn mower first make sure the engine has cooled.

Next, you should remove the wire and boot from the spark plug to prevent the engine from accidentally starting.

Note the position of the wheel adjuster arm you’re replacing.

Now lift the front of the mower up and support it.

Use a 12mm socket to unthread the bolt securing the appropriate wheel.

Detach the wheel and use a 12mm wrench and a t-40 torx bit to remove the nut and bolt securing the wheel adjuster assembly.

Detach the assembly and you can remove the old adjuster arm.

Prepare the new adjuster arm for installation by transferring the knob from the old arm to the new one.

Now align the new adjuster arm on the bolt with the tab facing up followed by the wheel support with the nut facing up.

Slide on the spacer.

Reposition the adjustment plate with the tabs facing up.

Hold the assembly together as you insert the bolt and plate tabs into the frame.

Slide on the washer then thread the nut and tighten.

Making sure the washer is intact on the mounting bolt; insert the bolt through the wheel and into the support.

Tighten the bolt to secure the wheel.

With the repair completed make sure the wheel adjuster arm is set to the correct position reattach the wire and boot to the spark plug and your lawn mower should be ready for use.
