All of the information in this nozzle replacement video is applicable to the following brands: Honda Tools used: 10mm socket, flathead screwdriver Step-By-Step Instructions 1 Before you replace the main nozzle in your engine’s carburetor first make sure the engine has cooled. 2 Next, you should remove the wire and boot from the spark plug to prevent the engine from accidentally starting and close the fuel valve. 3 Press the retaining tabs down to release the air housing cover and set the cover and air filter aside 4 Use a 10mm socket to unthread the mounting bolts securing the air filter housing and carburetor. 5 Detach the filter housing from the breather tube. 6 Next, release the retaining clamp and detach the fuel line from the carburetor. 7 Disconnect the throttle return spring and the governor rod to release the carburetor. 8 Use a 10mm wrench to unthread the screw securing the carburetor bowl. 10 To protect the float from damage, remove the float pin and lift off the float and needle. 11 Use a small flat-head screwdriver to unthread the main jet. 12 You can now slide out the old main nozzle. 13 Install the new main nozzle by inserting it, long end first, into the carburetor tube. 15 Confirm that the needle is attached to the float then align the needle and float on the carburetor and insert the float pin to secure. 16 Confirm that the bowl gasket is in place then replace the bowl. 17 Thread and tighten the screw to secure. 18 Reinstall the carburetor by first connecting the governor rod and throttle return spring to the throttle arm. 19 Attach the fuel line and secure with the clamp. 20 Next, attach the breather tube to the air filter housing. 21 Insert the mounting bolts through the housing. 22 Slide on the air cleaner gasket followed by the carburetor. 23 Now slide on the air guide gasket followed by the choke control assembly. 24 Slide on the intake gasket then thread the bolts into the engine and tighten to secure. 25 Replace the air filter in the housing then align the lower cover tabs with the housing and snap the upper tabs into place. 26 With the repair completed reattach the wire and boot to the spark plug open the fuel valve and your engine should be ready for use.
