Step-By-Step Instructions1
Before you replace the igniter in your furnace first turn off the power to the furnace.

Unthread the retaining knobs securing the upper access panel and remove the panel.

Cut the zip tie securing the wires.

Disconnect the igniter wire connecter.

Now use a quarter inch socket or nut driver to unthread the mounting screw to remove the old igniter.

Install the new igniter by carefully inserting the element into the burner housing.

Thread and tighten the mounting screw to secure.

Connect the wire connecter.

Use a zip tie to secure the wires.

Replace the upper access panel by aligning the top edge first then thread the retaining knobs to secure.

With the repair completed turn the power back on and your furnace should be ready for use.
