Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the draft inducer motor assembly in your furnace first turn off the power to the furnace.

Unthread the retaining knobs securing the upper access panel and remove the panel.

Remove the screws securing the exhaust vent.

Detach the vent.

Disconnect the draft inducer motor wire harness and detach the pressure tube.

Use a quarter-inch socket or wrench to unthread the mounting screws securing the motor assembly.

Remove the old assembly.

Install the new draft inducer motor assembly by positioning it on the plenum then thread and tighten the provided mounting screws to secure.

Remove the old pressure tube and use the new pressure tube to connect the pressure switch to the draft inducer motor assembly.

Connect the wire harness.

Position the exhaust vent.

Use a 1/8th inch drill bit to drill screw holes into the vent adapter.

Secure the exhaust vent with the screws.

Replace the upper access panel by aligning the top edge first then thread the retaining knobs to secure.

With the repair completed turn the power back on and your furnace should be ready for use.
